Backstage Pass

Music has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember.  You may think, "well everyone listens to music in life, so what's the big deal dude?". Well yeah, we all do, but when I say that it has been part of my life, I mean, I've always been surrounded by and influenced by music in some form or fashion; and I mean lots and lots of music.  All kinds of music.  And in a wide variety of formats.  From "La Mochila Azul" de Pedrito Fernandez to Michael Jackson and Run DMC; from Cadetes de Linares, to Outkast "ATLiens", from Pac and Biggie, to Bruno Mars.  So yeah, always listened to the good'ole radio of course, most definitely a daily habit at the house. But man! When you're growing up in a family where dad sings and plays guitar, mom sings, gwelito's console (grandpa's oldskool record player) was the prized jewel of the household, tia is in radio, cuzzo a band director, and man, when your uncle's record collection is more like a black-vinyl shrine, you can say music definitely runs in your blood.
